Panasonic showed a new “SDB” Series of SDHC Memory Cards at NAB. No info seems to be online so we’re left to go off of the packaging. It looks like they come in 8, 16, and 32GB sizes. They appear to be ruggedized, boasting a “proof 5″ of water, shock, magnet, x-ray, and temperature. The card features a UHS-1 or Ultra High Speed – Class 1 rating with a claimed 90Mbs read speed. Interested to know if new Panasonic’s new cameras will be UHS-1 capable. Other features listed on the package; Super intelligent controller, 10 times longer archival life, power failure protection, and smart data writing. Nothing seems to be on Panasonic’s website at this time.
