Apple’s Peter Steinauer was on stage at the Final Cut Pro Users Group SuperMeet coinciding with the NAB Show to show Final Cut Pro X the new version that the company says was completely rewritten as a 64-bit application. It will be available in June to download from the Apple App Store for $299. Final Cut Express will be dropped. Word is trickling out from those attending but it sounds like it will support accessing more memory because of it’s 64-bit architecture, will handle 4K and will do instant rendering in the background.
